Job description

Responsibilities include:

  1. Visiting and maintaining regular contact with brokers within the region to identify, nurture and develop new business opportunities and assist in the retention of existing business.
  2. Liaising with the Vice President, Strategy and Distribution to engage with national broker networks and provide an understanding of their business and strategies in the region.
  3. Working with the UKR Marketing and Product Managers to ensure a strong Arch Insurance presence and visibility in the region.
  4. Supporting the underwriting teams and providing proactive support for the resolution of broker issues, regional profit objectives, renewals, etc.
  5. Engaging brokers in performance conversations, positively influencing business outcomes, raising awareness of Arch propositions, and understanding reasons for lost accounts.
  6. Maintaining a thorough understanding of Arch Insurance products, coverage levels, and unique selling points compared to competitors.
  7. Monitoring Arch's regional performance, identifying issues, and implementing remedial actions.
  8. Gathering, analyzing, and reporting market information and broker feedback to provide insights into new and emerging opportunities.
  9. Generating new business opportunities through broker events and relationship building.
  10. Ensuring compliance with regulatory and risk management responsibilities.
  11. Anticipating customer needs and initiatives to increase satisfaction, meeting business and production goals.
  12. Contributing to sales collateral and business presentations development.
  13. Documenting and reporting broker meetings following Arch's engagement processes.
  14. Reporting changes in the broker community within the region to maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

  • Underwriting authority is a plus but not essential.
  • Full driver’s license.
  • Minimum A-level standard preferred.

Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience developing business in a commercial insurance environment.
