We are keen to recruit a Broker Propositions Director (reporting to our Chief Distribution Officer) to join our strong Distribution team.

This role presents an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced intermediary professional to contribute to the continued success of our Financial Services Division. The successful candidate will lead the development of our broker proposition including supporting definition and understanding of the segmentation of the DA & AR membership and to engage with AR & DA Brokers to understand and prioritise the divisions propositional development.

Role Purpose

  • Leads the development of our broker proposition including supporting definition and understanding of the segmentation of the DA & AR membership.
  • Engages with AR & DA Brokers to understand and prioritise the divisions propositional development
  • Leads the communication and advocation of our existing proposition including our technology transformation
  • Plays a part in the engagement with the market about our propositional strategy
  • Defines a clear strategy around what package of services each membership cohort should receive, at what price and at what service level


Main Accountabilities

  • Develop the strategy, build and implement plans based on a prioritised proposition runway and establishes how best these are taken to market using Marketing resource and in close collaboration with the broker facing Sales function
  • Develop new partnerships for the FSD, developing strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Work with the colleagues to develop and launch new products, services, and enhancements to the proposition across the businesses including the recommendation of new products/services, launch processes, embedding of new product/service and on-going relationships
  • Actively promote all aspects of the product proposition across the business
  • Oversee and monitor the business proposition to ensure its fit for purpose for AR & DA markets and is clearly understood and applied by internal and external stakeholders
  • Be a visible and strong supporter of Inclusion & Diversity
  • Be a champion for the change required in the division for the business to grow in line with Board and shareholder expectations
  • Be a visible ambassador for the company, positively influencing external stakeholders and promoting the value of being a customer


Knowledge and Experience required

Extensive understanding of the Financial Services industry, applying knowledge and understanding, operating within regulatory requirements to deliver both commercial business objectives and good customer outcomes

Financial Services experience within a similar role / level of responsibility and an excellent understanding of the intermediary market

Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

Experienced leader in product strategy, launching new commercial products and associated commercials alongside a detailed knowledge and understanding of relevant regulatory guidelines

Base Salary - £70,000 - £80,000 DOE plus bonus and benefits to include Private Health Care, Enhanced Pension and share based opportunities when available.

The role is home based with visits to our HQ sites in Chippenham and Solihull when required alongside extensive travel across the UK.
