Broker Distribution Manager
Reporting to Angel’s Head of eTrade Strategy and Distribution, the Broker Distribution Manager will contribute to managing, expanding, and acquiring broker relationships. The role involves working with Underwriters in the Angel Underwriting team in Chelmsford to grow the UK Specialty eTrade book profitably.

Responsibilities include:
- Managing and expanding broker relationships to accelerate sales growth and retention, supporting underwriting profitability targets.
- Developing segmentation practices and account plans, gaining insights into regional Brokers.
- Strengthening relationships with brokers and developing a pipeline of opportunities using management information.
- Supporting the transition and performance of UK eTrade Business in a changing marketplace.
- Collaborating on eTrade strategy with multiple stakeholders.
- Enhancing Angel Risk Management and AXA XL Network reputation through marketing and innovative solutions.
- Understanding broker needs, matching them with Angel’s expertise, and articulating solutions.
- Working with underwriters to retain and grow books of business, ensuring high service levels.
- Ensuring broker partners deliver services within line of business facilities.
- Supporting cross-sell initiatives to increase product density and sharing opportunities across lines.
- Maximizing opportunities with broader AXA Group businesses for client solutions and revenue synergies.
- Being part of the Angel Leadership and Distribution team.
Requirements:
- Experience contributing to UK eTrade Specialty business development and client/broker functions.
- Proven sales, marketing, presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Technical skills in CRM systems and data analysis.
- Significant experience in underwriting, insurance operations, broking, or related fields.
- Knowledge of risk-managed programmes, eTraded solutions, and Insurance Software House environment; familiarity with Specialty/Financial Lines is a bonus.
- Ability to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Proactive, results-oriented, and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn and improve technical skills.
