Job summary

RNLI is seeking a Production Support Officer to join the National Communications team in Poole, Dorset, on a fixed-term contract up to 18 months. You will manage and coordinate broadcast media opportunities from pre- to post-production, acting as the main link between production companies and RNLI, and supporting the BBC Saving Lives at Sea series.

Based in Poole with potential travel, you will coordinate logistics, review footage, identify interview candidates, and brief crews.

Qualifications

• Experience in PR, journalism or film production.
• Strong organisation and project management skills.
• Ability to spot compelling stories and balance stakeholder needs.
• Desirable understanding of RNLI operations and basic video editing.
• Driving licence would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate broadcast media opportunities from pre- to post-production.
• Serve as main contact between production companies and RNLI.
• Support BBC Saving Lives at Sea series production.
• Coordinate logistics, review rescue footage, research stories.
• Identify and brief interviewees; arrange additional filming.
• Liaise between production company and RNLI teams.
• Travel as needed; participate in out-of-hours rota.
