The Goodstuff Broadcast manager is responsible for delivering excellence in implementation planning, investment, and campaign delivery, in addition to managing junior Goodstuffers. They possess strong channel knowledge and understanding, which translates into inventive implementation planning. They build strong relationships with Goodstuffers, clients, and media owners to influence best-in-class responses to briefs. Working closely with the planning department and other investment teams, they contribute to creating great work that delights clients.
Reporting to the Broadcast Director
- Translate briefs into Broadcast ideas and recommendations, supported by strong rationale.
- Build and maintain relationships with relevant media owners.
- Recognize emerging Broadcast opportunities and explore them proactively with the team.
- Write and deliver clear, compelling presentations.
- Understand the role of Broadcast in the campaign channel mix and broader client strategy.
- Lead discussions in relevant client and team meetings.
- Approach campaign delivery challenges inventively, leveraging the relevant team members to achieve solutions.
- Train junior team members on financial best practices and oversee finance processes.
- Ensure bookings are made promptly and accurately in the system.
- Manage invoicing processes efficiently and resolve issues quickly.
- Complete weekly timesheets accurately for themselves and direct reports.
- Foster strong relationships across departments.
- Take on line management responsibilities, supporting the growth and development of direct reports.
- Understand team roles, responsibilities, and workflows.
- Delegate effectively with clear communication.
The requirements
- Proven experience in TV buying and reporting tools such as K2, Media Explorer, Advantage, DEN, and Prisma.
- Brand-led approach to media buying.
- Passion for Broadcast effectiveness and idea creation.
- Confident and articulate presentation skills.
- Experience in building media plans is a plus but not essential.
- Ability to build impactful relationships with media owners, clients, and colleagues.
- Confident, committed, and professional demeanor.
- Good knowledge of Broadcast fundamentals and media best practices.
- Positive attitude and can-do approach, even in challenging situations.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and oral.
- Team player who is also a self-starter.
