Job Summary:

As an experienced Broadband Construction Project Manager, you will oversee the planning, execution and completion of new telecommunications infrastructure projects and upgrades. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing projects in the broadband sector, including aerial and underground installation of fiber optic and coax cabling, required permitting, industry practices and standards and related infrastructure processes. The Broadband Construction Project Manager is responsible for estimating/ RFP responses, project planning and coordination, developing and maintaining production schedules, job profitability, billing and job costing support, and maintaining customer relations. You will play a vital role in ensuring the execution of projects by providing strong management and communication skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Plan, coordinate, and manage all phases of the broadband construction project from initiation to completion.

Ensure production schedules are met by creating clear expectations for all stakeholders.

Oversee utility coordination, permitting and compliance with regulatory standards.

Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure on-budget and on-schedule delivery of tasks and projects.

Communicate and report to external customers and internal management daily.

Review job progress and production goals on a weekly basis.

Lead weekly meetings with clients and project team and maintain meeting notes.

Identify manpower requirements necessary to maintain the project schedule and budget and clearly communicate needs with the Field Operations Manager.

Qualifications:

Proven experience managing telecom projects, experience with GIS mapping and documentation tools; P2 and Fulcrum experience is a plus

Strong knowledge of industry standards, permitting process, and upholds the highest safety standards and ensures team members do the same, meeting all OSHA regulations.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. leadership and customer service skills, and organizational and problem-solving skills.

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks and competing priorities.

Able to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks and competing priorities.

Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.

Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn about the project or product being developed.

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint and project management tools.

Able to meet the physical and mental aspects of the role.

Bachelors degree in a related field, which may include Telecommunications, Construction Management, Business, or Engineering, is or a combination of education, industry certifications, and or a related field or equivalent work experience.

At least five years5+ years of project management related experience in broadband or telecom construction required.

Hold a valid state drivers license and the ability to travel to job sites as required.

Familiarity with Federal, State and Local telecommunications regulations.
