Job Role: Support worker/Healthcare Assistant

The Support worker / Healthcare assistant will help and assist the team with day-to-day routines including personal care and feeding.

The Healthcare Assistants / Support Worker must have at least 6 months experience in care and be compassionate.

Healthcare Assistants / Support Worker help with the day-to-day care of patients, either in homes, hospitals, or in patients' own homes.

They are vital members of teams in hospitals, homes, and clinics.

Previous experience and/or qualifications in care are essential.

As a Healthcare Assistant / Support Worker, you will work under the supervision of nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.

Your duties may include:

• Helping patients with washing, showering, or dressing
• Assisting with feeding
• Making and changing beds
• Turning patients to prevent pressure sores
• Talking to patients to reduce anxiety
• Assisting patients with mobility
• Helping with toileting needs
• Maintaining cleanliness of wards or homes
• Managing supplies and equipment

Your daily tasks may involve using mobility aids and escorting patients within hospitals. With experience, you may train new healthcare assistants.
