Job description

Bridging Finance Solicitor - Stockport

Experienced legal professional with a strong background in residential and commercial property transactions, particularly within lender finance. Proficient in managing complex cases involving bridging loans, buy-to-let, and development projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managed end-to-end freehold and leasehold transactions, addressing enquiries, resolving title issues, conducting and reviewing searches, and satisfying mortgage conditions.
  • Conducted detailed title checks to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Supported junior solicitors and conveyancing assistants, providing guidance on complex transactions.
  • Prepared contracts and associated documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Reviewed official documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Liaised effectively with clients, agents, borrowers, solicitors, asset managers, and internal departments to facilitate smooth transactions.
  • Ensured accurate and timely completion of post-completion tasks.
  • Utilized case management systems daily to track and manage cases efficiently.
  • Managed client billing processes accurately, ensuring timely invoicing and payment tracking.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years’ PQE in residential or commercial conveyancing.
  • Demonstrated experience with buy-to-let, leasehold properties, and corporate clients.
  • Commercial conveyancing experience considered advantageous.
  • Proven ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proactive, commercially aware, and financially astute.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a strong teamwork ethos.
