As a Bridges and Civil Structures Placement Student, you will;

• Be part of an experienced structures team, working on interesting and challenging projects across the UK and internationally.
• Assist with development of practical, sustainable solutions for bridges and civil structures at all stages; from investigation to optioneering, feasibility, concept and detailed design, construction supervision and asset management.
• Undertake structural analysis, design and assessment calculations.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of our world-class data, analytics and digital technology solutions.
• Develop carbon and cost estimates, 3D models, drawings and technical documents.

The Placement

Our Placement Opportunities are designed to cultivate future-focused, high-performing consultants, engineers, and leaders. Throughout the programme, you will receive technical and personal development support to acquire essential consultancy skills to contribute to becoming a professionally qualified engineer. You'll gain hands-on experience and collaborate with industry experts who value your unique perspectives. A 'buddy' and a mentor will be assigned to help you settle into your role and develop the necessary skills and knowledge.

What We Need From You

Minimum requirements:

• Working towards - MSc / MEng / PhD in Civil or Structural Engineering (minimum 2:1)
• Enjoy working in a team environment, sharing ideas, and collaborating with colleagues.
• Confidence to work under pressure with the ability to prioritise and plan effectively.
• An interest in bridge engineering and commitment to sustainable development.
