Job description

Apply to be one of 10 emerging producers from underrepresented backgrounds to participate in this year-long development programme. The programme offers skills in commercial producing through monthly workshops, mentorship, coaching sessions, tickets to shows, access to grants, and more.

Stage One: Bridge the Gap

This initiative aims to diversify the current field of commercial theatre producers. We strongly encourage individuals from underrepresented backgrounds and outside of London to apply. We seek applicants from the following groups:

  • Global Majority backgrounds
  • Individuals who identify as working class or from lower socio-economic backgrounds
  • LGBTQIA+
  • People with disabilities and/or neurodivergent individuals
  • Individuals from culturally or religiously Buddhist, Hindu, Jewish, Muslim, or Sikh backgrounds
Programme Details

Through The Producer Programme with Bridge The Gap, we aim to support 10 emerging producers by providing:

  1. Monthly bespoke workshops on commercial theatre producing
  2. A mentor (a professional commercial producer)
  3. Personal coaching sessions
  4. Networking opportunities with peers
  5. A place on the Stage One workshops
  6. Access to the BTG Kick Start Grant (up to £5,000)
  7. Tickets to commercial theatre shows
