Job summary

CNX Recruitment is seeking an experienced Project Construction Manager to join a major bridge repair and structural refurbishment project in Harrogate. You will lead day-to-day delivery, coordinate site teams and subcontractors, and work with engineers to ensure safety, quality and programme delivery.

The role requires a strong structural engineering background, proven bridge repairs experience, and excellent planning and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Project Construction Manager or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day delivery of bridge repair and structural works.
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors and specialist structural contractors.
• Work closely with structural engineers and the wider project team.
• Interpret and work from engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Plan and coordinate construction activities to maintain programme.
• Monitor quality and ensure works are delivered in accordance with design requirements.
• Manage structural repair, refurbishment and associated civil engineering activities.
• Identify construction issues and develop practical solutions in conjunction with the engineering team.
• Coordinate temporary works and specialist access requirements where required.
• Ensure all works comply with health & safety and environmental requirements.
• Lead site meetings and provide regular progress updates.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and programme.
• Maintain accurate site records, documentation and reporting.
• Support the successful completion, testing and handover of the works.
