As part of the Inclusion team, the Bridge Manager will be responsible for cultivating and promoting lasting change within the school community, while also supporting the wider development of the Academy’s inclusive practices. This includes working with key students who require additional academic support through internal provisions.
The Bridge is a new provision being introduced at Leeds East Academy as an extension of the school’s Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Inclusion offer. It aims to provide a structured, nurturing environment for learners who are working significantly below age-related expectations and struggle to access mainstream lessons.
The post holder will coordinate the personalised learning of vulnerable students, ensuring that their learning, progress, welfare, and personal development are at the heart of the provision. The Bridge will primarily support students within Key Stage 3, offering a focused intervention space that acts as a middle layer between mainstream targeted support and more intensive internal alternative provision.
