- Conducting General and Principal inspections of Highway Structures according to the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges
- Recording and reporting inspections using Structures Management System and CSS Bridge Condition Index
- Interpreting bridge defects related to construction materials like steel and concrete
- Efficient reporting of urgent defects affecting capacity and performance
- On-site defect recording and reporting via online systems
- Coordination between departments, traffic management, and task briefing
- Technical knowledge of bridge structures
- Experience in Civil Engineering related to highway structure inspection and maintenance
- Understanding of construction materials and safety standards such as Health and Safety and CDM 2015
- Experience managing and maintaining trunk or local road networks
- Relevant discipline experience, preferably involving structural or building work
- Valid UK driving license
