Join our dynamic team in Essex as we conduct thorough highway structure inspections. You'll play a key role in enhancing bridge asset information across the county, working both independently and as part of a team.

As a member of our inspection team, you'll execute the General and Principal Inspection programme, using technology like BridgeStation, conducting on-foot inspections, utilizing MEWP, and drone inspection techniques. Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake General and Principal Inspections of highway structures
• Identify and report defects accurately
• Report safety defects immediately
• Represent the company publicly and provide feedback on demand
• Produce well-presented, accurate reports and sketches
• Manage a challenging workload with short-notice changes
• Input defect data and photos into BridgeStation database
• Prepare defect sketches and photo location plans

Ideal Candidate:

• Full driving license required due to county-wide travel
• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent experience
• Good understanding of structural behaviour and inspection standards
• Ability to assess risks and propose mitigation for safety defects
• Experience liaising with the public
• Proficient in MS Office Word and Excel
• Ability to work in water and at heights
