Job summary

Arup is seeking a Bridge/Civil Structures Engineering Technician to join our North West & Yorkshire team. You will produce RC detailing, 2D drawings and 3D models from early concept through to construction, supporting BIM coordination and ensuring outputs meet project requirements.

You will collaborate with engineers, technicians and specialists across rail, roads and heavy civil infrastructure, contributing to continuous improvement and the development of junior team members.

Qualifications

• Sound technical base in civil engineering, ideally with exposure to bridges and civil structures.
• Experience producing and checking RC reinforcement drawings, 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
• Understanding of BIM processes, including coordination across disciplines and information management tools such as ProjectWise.
• Can manage their own workload effectively, meeting deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality.
• Thrives in collaborative environments and supports junior technicians.
