Job summary

Tameside College is seeking a Teacher in Brickwork to plan, deliver and develop teaching/learning programmes across a flexible range of strategies. You will take responsibility for high-quality teaching and curriculum development to meet learner needs while assessing progress against personalised targets.

The role requires Level 2/3 literacy/numeracy, a Level 4 teaching qualification (or Level 5 Diploma DTLLS within 3 years) and current CPD in assessment.

Qualifications

• Literacy and Numeracy to at least Level 2; Level 3 qualification or relevant NVQ in Bricklaying or General Construction.
• Level 4 Teaching Qualification: Cert in Education/PGCE/Bachelor of Education or Level 5 Diploma (DTLLS) or equivalent within 3 years of appointment.
• Assessment qualifications - IQA/A1/V1 and evidence of CPD.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and develop teaching/learning programmes using a flexible range of strategies and learning styles.
• Take responsibility for quality of teaching and curriculum development to meet learner needs.
• Assess learners' progress and devise assessment processes against highly personalised progress targets.
