Job summary

RGM Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled Bricklayer for a project in Bath, Somerset, with immediate start and a six-week duration. You will lay bricks and blocks, read drawings, ensure accuracy and quality, and work safely with other trades on site.

The ideal candidate will hold a valid CSCS card, have bricklaying experience on construction sites, and be reliable, punctual and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Must have good practical bricklaying skills and attention to detail.
• Must be able to read drawings and follow site instructions.
• Must have a valid CSCS card relevant to the role.
• Must be able to provide references.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out general bricklaying duties in accordance with project specifications and site requirements.
• Laying bricks, blocks and other masonry materials accurately and efficiently.
• Mixing and applying mortar to the correct consistency.
• Setting out brickwork and ensuring walls are built to the correct line, level and measurements.
• Reading and following drawings, plans and instructions where required.
• Constructing walls, partitions and other masonry structures as instructed.
• Cutting and shaping bricks and blocks to achieve the required finish.
• Ensuring all brickwork meets the required quality and workmanship standards.
• Working alongside other tradespeople and site personnel to keep the project running smoothly.
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working area throughout the day.
• Using tools and equipment safely and responsibly.
• Following all site health and safety procedures and wearing the correct PPE.
• Reporting any issues, defects or potential hazards to site management.
• Carrying out any other reasonable bricklaying duties required on site.

DURATION: Approximately 6 weeks

PAY RATE: £26.00 per hour

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Bricklayer to join a project in Bath, Somerset, with an immediate start available. The position is expected to run for approximately six weeks, making it ideal for someone looking for consistent work over this period.

Requirements

• Must hold a valid CSCS card relevant to the role.
• Must have previous experience working as a Bricklayer on construction sites.
• Must have suitable PPE, including safety boots, a hard hat and a high-visibility vest, along with any additional PPE required on site.
• Must be able to provide references.
• Must have good practical bricklaying skills and attention to detail.
• Must be able to work accurately and maintain high standards of workmanship.
• Must be able to follow drawings, instructions and site specifications where required.
• Must understand and follow construction site health and safety procedures.
• Must be reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be available to start as soon as possible and commit to the expected six-week duration.
