Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking an Early Years/SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs in a Brentwood SEN Primary School. The role focuses on one-to-one and small group support, alongside helping with IEP development and inclusive practices.

The successful candidate will work with dedicated staff, contribute to holistic student development, and have opportunities for professional growth and potential progression to permanent contracts.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
• Empathy and patience in student support.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Dedication to fostering an inclusive learning environment.
• Relevant qualifications or training in special education are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN.
• Assist in developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Collaborate with teachers to create an inclusive classroom environment.
• Support holistic development: social, emotional, and academic skills.
• Track progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
• Maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment.
