As a Breathing Apparatus Trainer, you’ll have a unique opportunity to grow your career, achieve a healthy work-life balance, and be recognized for your contributions.
Daily responsibilities include delivering and assessing courses for the London Fire Brigade, focusing on modern firefighting techniques in various scenarios to ensure operational firefighters are well-trained and safe. No prior training experience is required as we will develop you into the role.
You will primarily deliver 2-day refresher courses, as well as 1- or 2-day courses for extended-duration breathing apparatus wearers. There may also be opportunities to deliver firefighter development courses for future firefighters.
Training will take place at our London venues in Park Royal or Beckton.
Experience in teaching, coaching, assessing, or presenting to adults is preferable but not essential. A fire-related background is advantageous. We seek passionate, adaptable, and engaging individuals.
If your background is non-fire related, ideally you will hold a Level 3 or above Assessing and Training Qualification (this can be obtained through the company). The successful candidate must be able to achieve BPSS security clearance.
