We are looking for a motivated and flexible candidate who has a special interest in breast screening and the breast cancer patient pathway and who wants to further develop their knowledge and skills within this specialist area.
Join our dynamic team who strive to deliver high standards of patient care within one of the largest breast screening units in the country.
To support the Breast Screening and Symptomatic Services in providing support, and relevant information to women and their families, and advice to women recalled for further investigations and subsequent referral for treatment.
To assess each woman individually regarding their psychological needs and provide the appropriate support information.
To ensure each woman and her family, if appropriate, have access to the appropriate information they require regarding the screening programme, investigations, and possible outcomes.

The key focus areas of this role are:
Ensure patients’ safety
Quality within the breast service
Attend the weekly MDT and co-ordinate patient care accordingly
Work in line with the requirements outlined by quality assurance andattend quality assurance meetings
Participate in health promotion work; in house and in the community
Participate in audit, research and service development with the screening role and in collaboration with the wider breast care team
