Job summary

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Clinical Fellow in Breast Surgery to join the breast and microsurgery teams for a six-month fixed-term contract.

The role focuses on microsurgical breast reconstruction and associated breast surgery procedures, working within the St Andrew's Centre and satellite hospitals. Applicants should have GMC registration and relevant plastic surgery experience.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent required.
• Pt. 1 of Higher qualification required.
• FRCS, FRCS (Plast) or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• The Fellow will support the breast reconstruction service at the St Andrew's Centre and satellite hospitals as required.
• The Fellow will be involved in microsurgical breast reconstruction.
• He/she will participate in breast reconstruction MDT and Risk Reducing Mastectomy MDT.
• He/she will be required to undertake independently skin cancer surgery, breast symmetrisation procedures and general plastic surgery work.
• He/she will attend the out-patient departments and the operating theatres as required by the consultants.
