Job summary

Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Band 7 Therapeutic Radiographer on a fixed-term maternity cover to join the Breast Radiotherapy team. You will assess referrals, obtain informed consent, contribute to MDT discussions, and deliver expert care for patients across East London and Essex.

The role offers opportunity to develop enhanced practice within a supportive department and operates from Queen’s Hospital, Romford with strong transport links.

Qualifications

• BSc in Therapeutic radiography or equivalent.
• HCPC registration as a therapy radiographer.
• Significant postgraduate experience with specialist training.
• Practical experience in planning and delivering radiotherapy techniques.
• Excellent communication across professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for own professional action and act as an expert team leader.
• Plan and deliver complex radiotherapy procedures with high accuracy.
• Work within departmental protocols and deviations where necessary.
• Work autonomously within legal and professional frameworks.
• Generate new solutions to meet patient needs.
