Job summary

Hywel Dda University Health Board is seeking a Consultant Radiologist with a special interest in breast radiology to join a dynamic team at Bronglais General Hospital, Aberystwyth. The post involves mammography reporting, breast ultrasound, image-guided biopsy, and participation in MDTs across sites.

The role may include part-time arrangements and occasional remote reporting via Teleradiology, with opportunities for screening sessions and cross-site collaboration across four main hospital sites.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration and license to practice.
• UK Specialist Register or CESR/CCT within six months of interview.
• Valid Advanced Life Support certification.
• Sub-specialty training to UK consultant level or equivalent.
• Additional higher qualifications are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Report mammography, breast and axillary ultrasound, and image-guided biopsy.
• Participate in breast MDT and liaise across Hywel Dda University Health Board sites.
• Undertake screening sessions where applicable and support cross-site reporting via Teleradiology.
• Travel to Bronglais Hospital Aberystwyth and other main sites as required.
