An exciting opportunity awaits an experienced and passionate Consultant Breast Radiologist to join a forward-thinking and supportive Breast Imaging team in the North West. This substantive, full-time post combines symptomatic and NHS Breast Screening Programme (BSP) work, with the flexibility to include 1 PA in general radiology depending on your interest and skill set.

Role Summary

  • Deliver one-stop symptomatic breast clinics and assessment clinics.
  • Interpret mammography, ultrasound, breast MRI and staging CTs.
  • Perform advanced procedures such as ultrasound-guided biopsies, stereo core biopsies, and MRI-guided biopsies (depending on experience)
  • Attend and contribute to breast MDT meetings and pre-operative planning.
  • Provide mentorship and training to Specialist Registrars, Advanced Practitioners and Consultant Radiographers.
  • Requirements

  • FRCR (UK) or equivalent
  • Expertise in mammographic and breast ultrasound interpretation
  • Proficiency in ultrasound-guided interventional procedures
  • Experience in training junior radiologists and allied professionals
  • Passion for multidisciplinary collaboration and patient-centred care
  • Desirable:

  • Experience in MRI-guided procedures, VAEs, CT angiography
  • Track record in teaching, audit, or clinical research
  • Involvement in national breast screening programmes
