Job Opportunity: Staff Grade/Clinical Fellow in Breast Radiology

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Staff Grade/Clinical Fellow to join our established and experienced Breast Radiology team at North Tees Hospital.

North Tees Hospital features a modern, purpose-built breast unit where radiologists and surgeons collaborate to provide a comprehensive one-stop service. The unit is renowned for high-quality patient care and offers a first-class breast imaging service covering East Durham, Stockton on Tees, Middlesbrough, Hartlepool, and surrounding areas.

Role Details
  1. The successful candidate will undertake a minimum of 5 Programmed Activities (PAs) in breast radiology.
  2. Candidates interested in working exclusively within Breast Radiology or a mixed Breast/General Radiology role will be considered.
  3. General Radiology duties include participation in the on-call service (currently 1:12), supported by overnight outsourcing (Nighthawk). There is no requirement for complex interventions outside of regular hours.
Department Facilities

The General Radiology service is well-equipped with modern technology, including Siemens CT scanners, MRI scanners, SPECT-CT, and upgraded ultrasound facilities. PACS was installed in 2020, with regional image sharing expected to go live in early 2022. Fully equipped home workstations are provided for general radiologists to support insourcing and remote working.

Trust Information

South Tees and North Tees & Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trusts have merged to form University Hospitals Tees. Staff may be required to work across any site within both Trusts.
