A day in the life of…
Early Morning Start
  • Arrive before the breakfast shift begins.
  • Check that the dining room, buffet, and serving stations are clean and set up.
  • Ensure food preparation is on schedule with the kitchen.
  • Brief the breakfast team (servers, hosts, and kitchen assistants) on assignments for the morning.
  • Double-check stock levels (bread, juices, condiments, cutlery, plates, etc.).
Breakfast Service (7:00–10:30 AM)
  • Greet and assist guests, making sure they feel welcome.
  • Supervise staff to ensure food is replenished quickly and tables are cleared efficiently.
  • Monitor food quality and presentation, coordinating with chefs if something runs low or needs adjustment.
  • Handle guest requests or complaints promptly (e.g., dietary needs, special orders).
  • Keep an eye on cleanliness, safety, and hygiene standards in both kitchen and dining areas.
Mid-Morning (After Service)
  • Oversee the clearing and deep cleaning of the dining area.
  • Check inventory and place orders for the next day if items are running low.
  • Write shift handovers or reports for management.
  • Provide feedback or training to team members as needed.
