Breakfast Customer Service Advisor - Manchester

Hourly Rate: £13

Working Hours: 6am – 10:30am, Monday to Sunday, with 5 shifts per week

Vita Student offers innovative apartment designs with a variety of studios to suit students' lifestyles, providing privacy or shared living options. We focus on style, luxury, and comfort, complemented by premium amenities and a vibrant city life. A key part of our service includes providing breakfast to our residents.

Role Overview

The breakfast period is among the busiest at Vita Student. Our Breakfast Customer Service Assistants prepare, cook, and present breakfast foods efficiently, maintain quality standards, and keep the kitchen clean and organized, adhering to food safety regulations and communicating effectively with the team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Meet and greet residents and guests warmly and vibrantly.
  2. Prepare, cook, and serve breakfast foods promptly.
  3. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
  4. Follow food safety regulations.
  5. Respect residents and facilities, promoting a positive environment.
  6. Monitor stock levels, communicate needs to the site manager, and assist with ordering supplies.
  7. Respond helpfully to questions, queries, and requests.
  8. Ensure breakfast areas are tidy and clean.
  9. Deep-clean equipment such as fridges and ovens as needed.
  10. Replenish refreshments like coffee, tea, milk, and vending items.
  11. Act as the primary contact for incidents or emergencies onsite.
Candidate Profile
Professional Experience
  • Experience in customer service within a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Knowledge of kitchen regulations.
  • Comfortable with technology systems supporting operations.
Personal Characteristics
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment, respecting diversity and promoting equality.
  • Excellent communication skills; multilingual abilities are a plus.
  • Adaptable, creative, positive, and resilient.
  • Able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks with reasonable adjustments if needed.
