Job summary

St Stephen’s CE Primary School is seeking a Breakfast Club Worker to join our team. The role is part-time and term-time, with a fixed-term contract until July 2027, working 7.15 am to 8.45 am (1.5 hours) per day across 39 weeks. The salary is Scale 3 (£32,112 pro rata).

You will help provide a safe, welcoming start to the school day, support children, and follow school policies. Visits are welcome; please email to arrange.

• Experience in working with children is desirable but not essential.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

• Organise and lead common activities and games.
• Ensure children are safe, happy and well supervised.
• Tidy and clear away at the end of the session.

THE ROLE

You will help to provide a safe, caring and welcoming environment for children attending our Breakfast Club. You will support a range of tasks to ensure a positive start to the school day.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up and prepare the dining and activity areas.
• Welcome children in a friendly and professional manner.
• Provide a healthy breakfast and encourage good table manners.
• Organise and lead common activities and games.
• Ensure children are safe, happy, and well supervised.
• Promote positive behavior and follow the school’s policies and procedures.
• Tidy and clear away at the end of the session.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO:

• Enjoys working with children, is friendly,
• patient and dependable.
• Works well as part of a team.
• Shows initiative and uses their own judgment.
• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential.
