Contract: Fixed Term Contract until 31/08/2026, Part time, 7.5 hours per week (M-F, 7.15am– 8.45am)

Job summary;
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Breakfast Club Assistant to support the care and development of children before the start of the school day. The ideal candidate will be committed and flexible, with a passion for working with children in a nurturing setting. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the health and safety of every child at all times.
- Encourage and support positive play and interaction.
- Promote children’s language development and social skills through meaningful conversation and open-ended questioning.
- Support children’s personal, social, and emotional well-being.
- Assist the club leader with the smooth running of the Breakfast Club.
- Help with food preparation – a Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate is required (training can be provided if necessary).
The jobholder must demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. This will involve undertaking annual Safeguard training and using school reporting systems for any Safeguard concerns.
