Job description

Breakfast Club Assistant

This is a permanent position at Quarry Bank Primary School

6.25 hours per week Mon-Friday 7:30am-8:45am, 38 weeks per year

Grade 2 (Actual salary £3,413.58 -£3,490.88 or £12.45 per hour)

Start date : September 2025

We are seeking to appoint a hardworking and committed Breakfast Club Assistant to work within our new breakfast club provision.

The successful applicant will:

  • Demonstrate a professional and respectful approach to both children and adults
  • Have good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Interact well with children (playing games, craft ideas, encouraging indoor and outdoor play)
  • Be creative and imaginative (planning activities)
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of children you are responsible for or encounter
  • Support and maintain positive links between home and school by making parents feel welcome
  • Support the setting up and clearing away of breakfastclub equipment and preparing breakfast
  • Be responsible for ensuring that breakfast club equipment is hygienically maintained
