Job summary

The Social Hub (B Corp™) is seeking a breakfast chef to join our team in Glasgow. You will be responsible for maintaining a fully stocked, high-quality breakfast service with a focus on efficiency, consistency and guest satisfaction.

You should have at least 1 year of kitchen experience, strong knowledge of food products and modern cooking techniques, and be available for mornings 6:00–15:00, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of food products according to market standards.
• Excellent knowledge of modern cooking techniques.

Responsibilities

• Take control of the breakfast service and ensure guests receive a delicious, memorable breakfast.
• Set up and break down the breakfast service.
• Understand daily specials, menu changes and dietary needs of guests.
• Monitor portion and waste control to maintain profit margins.
• Monitor incoming goods and supplies.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness.
• Organise and store deliveries.
• Ensure HACCP guidelines, fire safety and working conditions are followed.

As our superstar breakfast chef, you'll be responsible for making sure our upgraded breakfast is fully stocked at all times. You already have previous experience in kitchens and you're a master at efficient prepping, whipping up tasty breakfast items, and keeping the positive breakfast vibes alive! Not only that, you make things happen and exceed expectations on a regular basis. We're looking for you to join our team where you'll have consistent hours and great colleagues!

What You'll Do

• You'll take control of the breakfast service and make sure all guests receive a delicious & memorable breakfast
• Set up and break down the breakfast
• You'll understand all details around daily specials, menu changes and special (dietary) needs of guests
• Monitor portion and waste control to maintain profit margins
• Monitor incoming goods - such as supplies, ingredients and prefabricated foods
• You'll maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen
• You'll put away all deliverables in an organized and timely matter
• Monitor accurate execution of HACCP guidelines, fire safety policy and working conditions

Who You Are

• Minimum of 1 years' relevant work experience in a similar role at a similar level kitchen
• Strong knowledge of food products according to market standards
• Excellent knowledge of modern cooking techniques
• You're available during the mornings between the hours of 6:00 - 15:00 (Monday - Friday)
• You're legally allowed to work in the UK
