Job summary

Soho House & Co. is seeking a Breakfast Chef to lead the morning kitchen, delivering high-quality, beautifully presented breakfast dishes and taking ownership of early-day operations.

You will handle mise en place, stock control, and breakfast service, support lunch prep where needed, and join a team committed to training, teamwork, and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in similar capacity.
• Passion for food, attention to detail, and a strong desire to learn and grow.
• Understanding of basic food safety and hygiene practices.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Positive, proactive, and respectful attitude in a busy kitchen environment.
• Culinary qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 1 or 2) is a plus but not essential.
• Must be able to demonstrate competency as outlined in the training schedule and Club School
• Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed
• Ability to take direction, work in a team environment and autonomously

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook all breakfast dishes to the highest standards, ensuring consistent quality, presentation, and timing.
• Ensuring mis en place is completed before service.
• Maintain a professional attitude at all times.
• Ensure health and safety regulations are met.
• Attending regular meetings with front and back of house teams to learn about any menu or service changes and specials alongside daily tastings.
• Support junior team members (e.g., Prep Chefs) through guidance and collaboration.
• Assist in preparation of team meals as requested, considering dietary needs and variety.
• Demonstrate a proactive attitude towards learning, improvement, and teamwork.
• Take full responsibility for the breakfast section, ensuring smooth and timely service and clean-down post-service.
• Wrapping unused items and storing them in proper area at the end of service.

The Role…

At Soho House, a Breakfast Chef is the first point of contact in the kitchen each morning, the Breakfast Chef takes ownership of early-day operations and ensures the delivery of high-quality, beautifully presented, and nutritious breakfast dishes.

Your main responsibilities will be mise en place, stock control, and menu execution during breakfast hours, and may assist in preparation for lunch service This includes preparing food before service, setting up and stocking kitchen stations and plating to company standards.
