Job Title: Breakfast Chef (Saturday Only)

Job Purpose:

To deliver a high-quality breakfast service every Saturday, ensuring fresh, timely, and well-presented meals in line with client expectations and food safety standards. The Breakfast Chef is responsible for all aspects of breakfast preparation, service, and kitchen cleanliness during their shift.

Key Responsibilities:

Core Duties: Prepare and cook breakfast items to a consistent standard. Set up and maintain the breakfast service area to ensure smooth operation and attractive presentation. Ensure all food served meets required standards for taste, quality, and portion control. Comply with health & safety and food hygiene regulations at all times. Manage kitchen cleanliness, including safe handling and storage of ingredients.


Operations: Ensure punctual and efficient breakfast service. Follow Sodexo's food preparation and service procedures. Use Sodexo-nominated suppliers where relevant for any Saturday replenishments. Ensure all kitchen equipment used is safe and operational; report any faults promptly. Maintain a clean working environment in line with statutory and client expectations.


People: Work collaboratively with any staff scheduled on Saturdays. Demonstrate a friendly and professional manner when interacting with clients or colleagues. Attend necessary training or briefings related to your duties.

Skills & Experience:

Essential: Proven experience in a breakfast or catering role. Strong knowledge of food hygiene, kitchen safety, and allergen awareness. Ability to manage time efficiently and work independently. Good communication and customer service skills.


Desirable: Formal food safety certification (e.g., Level 2 Food Hygiene). Familiarity with commercial kitchen operations during breakfast service. IOSH qualification or experience working under SLAs.

This role is standalonefor Saturday breakfast service, so initiative and reliability are essential.Flexibility for occasional cover during other days may be considered a bonus.
