Job summary

Away Resorts on the Isle of Wight is seeking a Breakfast Chef to run a dedicated kitchen section, overseeing preparation, cooking and presentation of breakfast dishes. You will supervise colleagues, maintain high standards of food quality and safety, and ensure timely service in a busy park kitchen.

Seasonal contract with flexible full-time and part-time hours. £13.54 per hour, paid weekly, with on-park discounts and development opportunities to support your career with Away Resorts.

Qualifications

• Assist and support the head chef in food preparation.
• Prepare dishes from the menu as directed by the Head Chef.
• Get involved in the training of all team members.
• Help with menu planning.
• Enforce safety, health and hygiene standards in the kitchen as directed by your head chef.
• Troubleshoot any problems that may arise in the kitchen.
• Ensure that food goes to the customers in a timely manner.
• Run an environment that is clean, tidy and organised at all times.
• Assist in controlling the operating costs to agreed budgets.

Location: The Lakes Rookley, Isle of Wight

Hours: Seasonal contract - Full time and part time hours available.

What we need in a nutshell

The Breakfast Chef is responsible for running a specific section of our kitchen, overseeing and supporting the preparation, cooking and presentation of food for the restaurant. They delegate duties to Chefs, and they must monitor to make sure food quality, presentation and safety standards are being adhered to, troubleshooting any issues that arise in their section. You will be creating the finest dishes and work to the highest standards, sharing our passion for cooking and food.
