Job summary

Fairmont Cheshire, The Mere in Knutsford, UK, is seeking a skilled Breakfast Chef to lead the morning service for a 5-star culinary team. You will craft both traditional and innovative breakfast dishes, ensuring top quality ingredients and flawless presentation.

You will manage mise en place, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with front-of-house to guarantee a seamless guest dining experience. A passion for creativity and luxury hospitality is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Breakfast Chef in a 4/5-star hotel or luxury property.
• Strong knowledge of high-quality ingredients and modern breakfast techniques.
• Ability to produce consistently excellent dishes under pressure.
• Familiarity with HACCP, food hygiene, and health & safety standards.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Passion for creativity, presentation, and delivering luxury guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present breakfast dishes to the highest standard, including hot and cold items, pastries, baps, and Grab & Go options.
• Manage section mise en place and ensure all ingredients are fresh, labelled, and stored correctly.
• Maintain the highest levels of food hygiene, kitchen safety, and presentation standards.
• Assist in menu planning, contributing creative ideas and seasonal inspiration.
• Monitor stock levels and collaborate with suppliers for timely deliveries.
• Lead, train, and mentor junior kitchen staff during breakfast service.
• Ensure smooth service and coordination with front-of-house teams.
