Job summary

The Reserve at Chester Zoo is seeking a Breakfast Chef to lead morning service, preparing and delivering high-quality breakfasts for our guests. You will ensure the kitchen runs smoothly during early hours and uphold the highest culinary and hygiene standards.

Key duties include coordinating breakfast prep, maintaining cleanliness, training junior teammates, and working closely with front-of-house to ensure guest satisfaction while supporting sustainable kitchen practices.

• Prepare and cook breakfast items to order and for buffet service.
• Set up the breakfast area on time and ready for service.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant kitchen environment.
• Monitor food quality and presentation to reflect luxury standards.
• Manage preparation and stock levels for the breakfast shift.
• Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure guest satisfaction and smooth service.
• Support waste reduction and sustainability initiatives in the kitchen.
• Assist in preparing for the next day's service where needed.
• Ensure equipment is cleaned and stored after use.
• Attend training and complete online learning modules within set timeframes.
• Wear full, clean uniform according to company standards.
• Help train and support junior team members or new starters when required.

As the Breakfast Chef at The Reserve, you will take ownership of the morning service, preparing and delivering high-quality breakfasts to our guests.
