Job Title: Breakfast & Afterschool Club Assistant
Location: NG2
Salary: £13.68 - £14.50 per hour
Contract Type: Temporary - Part-Time

About the Role

Are you passionate about working with children and creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment? We re looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic Breakfast & Afterschool Club Assistant to join our dynamic nursery and primary school team. You ll play a key role in making sure our Breakfast and Afterschool Club offers children a positive and enjoyable experience, with nutritious snacks and a range of exciting activities in a supportive and welcoming setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome children and families warmly as they arrive at the club.
  • Prepare and serve healthy snacks, catering to individual dietary needs and preferences.
  • Engage children in a variety of activities, from creative play to group games, encouraging social interaction and fun.
  • Maintain a clean and safe club environment, ensuring that all areas are well-organized and secure.
  • Support children s well-being by fostering positive interactions and promoting a calm, relaxed atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with your team and maintain open communication with parents and carers.

What We re Looking For:

  • Have experience working with children in a nursery, school, or childcare setting (although not essential).
  • Be warm, approachable, and passionate about supporting children s growth and development.
  • Have a basic understanding of food hygiene and health & safety (training provided).
  • Be a team player who is reliable, adaptable, and committed to their role.
  • Hold a valid DBS check or be willing to undergo one.
