Do you have multi-modal experience, working within a freight forwarding company? Are you familiar with break bulk and out of gauge (OOO) procedures?

My client, a Chiswick-based logistics & supply chain company, is recruiting for an experienced Operations Project Coordinator with multi-modal freight forwarding experience in either Break-Bulk or OOG (out of gauge). The successful candidate will focus on maintaining customer service within multi-modal import and export operations and will deliver operational excellence and high customer satisfaction at all times. This is an office-based position, Monday - Friday, from 9 am to 5:30 pm.

Main duties:

• Handle multi-modal import/export transport operations (air, road, and sea) from start to finish.
• Manage out of gauge (OOO) and break bulk cargo shipments.
• Operational planning and scheduling, coordinating shipment activities.
• Prepare quotes and invoices for customers.
• Report and control urgent deliveries; monitor track and trace information.
• Receive and action customers' shipping instructions.
• Coordinate with customs-related activities and paperwork.
• Ensure customer retention and satisfaction.
• Perform additional operational duties as required.

Key requirements:

• Knowledge and understanding of break bulk cargo and out of gauge operations.
• Project import/export experience within a freight forwarding company.
• Multi-modal freight forwarding experience (air, road, and/or sea).
• Experience in the oil, gas, mining, or energy sectors would be advantageous.
