Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Brazer/Soldering Bus Bar Assembler to join our production team in Droitwich. This role involves assembling, brazing, and soldering copper or aluminum bus bars used in electrical systems, ensuring top-quality electrical and mechanical connections. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical component assembly and a strong focus on quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and fabricate bus bars according to schematics, blueprints, or work instructions.
  • Perform brazing and soldering operations on copper or aluminium conductors.
  • Inspect and measure parts to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Prepare surfaces for brazing/soldering by cleaning, degreasing, and fluxing as needed.
  • Operate and maintain hand tools, soldering irons, torches, and brazing equipment.
  • Use measuring tools (calipers, micrometre's, etc.) to ensure accuracy.
  • Ensure all work meets quality control and safety standards.
  • Work with engineers and quality teams to resolve issues during assembly.
  • Keep the workstation clean and organized.
  • Complete documentation and report any issues during production.
Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in soldering, brazing, or electrical/mechanical assembly.
  • Skilled in brazing/soldering (e.g., silver solder, torch brazing).
  • Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
  • Understanding of bus bar systems and related components.
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety procedures.

Preferred:

  • Certification in soldering or brazing (e.g., IPC-A-610, AWS B2.2).
  • Experience in UL or ISO-certified environments.
  • Familiarity with copper, aluminum, and tin-plated materials.
