Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Brazer/Soldering Bus Bar Assembler to join our production team in Droitwich. This role involves assembling, brazing, and soldering copper or aluminum bus bars used in electrical systems, ensuring top-quality electrical and mechanical connections. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical component assembly and a strong focus on quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and fabricate bus bars according to schematics, blueprints, or work instructions.
- Perform brazing and soldering operations on copper or aluminium conductors.
- Inspect and measure parts to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Prepare surfaces for brazing/soldering by cleaning, degreasing, and fluxing as needed.
- Operate and maintain hand tools, soldering irons, torches, and brazing equipment.
- Use measuring tools (calipers, micrometre's, etc.) to ensure accuracy.
- Ensure all work meets quality control and safety standards.
- Work with engineers and quality teams to resolve issues during assembly.
- Keep the workstation clean and organized.
- Complete documentation and report any issues during production.
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in soldering, brazing, or electrical/mechanical assembly.
- Skilled in brazing/soldering (e.g., silver solder, torch brazing).
- Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Understanding of bus bar systems and related components.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety procedures.
Preferred:
- Certification in soldering or brazing (e.g., IPC-A-610, AWS B2.2).
- Experience in UL or ISO-certified environments.
- Familiarity with copper, aluminum, and tin-plated materials.
