Job summary

Skipton Music Centre is seeking a skilled Brass teacher to lead instrumental lessons on Saturdays as part of the North Yorkshire Music Service, in Skipton, North Yorkshire.

You will teach Brass in small groups and individuals, lead the Beginner Band or Concert Band, and contribute to concerts and community events. The role requires a degree in music and strong repertoire knowledge, with safeguarding experience and the ability to work with learners of all ages.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of instrumental repertoire and teaching strategies.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to teach/play more than one instrument.
• Experience in safeguarding and partnership working.

Responsibilities

• Teach Brass in small group and individual lessons.
• Lead an ensemble – Beginner Band or senior Concert Band.
• Deliver musicianship and instrumental technique.
• Collaborate with staff and contribute to the wider community.
