Job description

Role Overview:

We’re looking for an experienced and strategic Brand Marketing Manager to join the JD Brand team. You’ll play a pivotal role in leading the planning, execution, and ongoing evolution of JD’s global brand platform. Reporting into the Head of Brand and line managing the Brand Marketing Executive, you’ll be the heartbeat of cross-functional collaboration — translating brand strategy into clear, actionable plans across the business, from internal initiatives to campaign activations, and ensuring alignment across key touchpoints.

This role is made for someone who thrives on building clarity from complexity, loves big brand thinking, and can bring energy and precision to the detail of delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning & Brand Platform Ownership:
  • Own the day-to-day management and shape long-term planning of JD’s brand platform across global markets.
  • Translate brand strategy into annual marketing plans in collaboration with channel leads (e.g. media, creative, PR, digital, partnerships, talent, social).
  • Monitor brand health and contribute to the evolution of our platform using insights, market trends, and internal feedback loops.
  • Campaign Planning & Execution:
    • Oversee the delivery of high-impact, culturally relevant campaigns that align with our brand positioning.
    • Work closely with internal leads ie Studio, People and Social teams, to ensure integrated campaign roll-out and asset delivery.
    • Develop and manage campaign toolkits to ensure global and regional consistency.
  • Cross-Functional & Global Collaboration:
    • Act as a central point of contact for brand planning across JD internal teams and functions (including People, Property, Data Science, Buying, and Commercial), shaping key activation moments
    • Helping join the dots across the marketing functions, removing barriers and ensuring consistency and strategic consideration shared and applied across the marketing functions
    • Build strong relationships with international marketing teams to ensure local execution aligns with global strategy.
    • Facilitate brand syncs and key milestone meetings, driving alignment and decision-making.
  • Line Management & Team Development:
    • Manage and support the Brand Marketing Executive, overseeing their day-to-day work and career development.
    • Encourage growth, proactivity, and ownership across the team.
  • Project & Budget Management:
    • Lead project timelines and manage critical paths, ensuring smooth delivery from concept to launch.
    • Manage campaign budgets, tracking spend and ROI with commercial and media partners.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:
    • Partner with key internal and external stakeholders, building trust and driving clarity across all brand-related workstreams.
    • Create and present clear, compelling updates and strategy docs to leadership and wider business functions.
Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years experience in brand marketing, ideally within fashion, retail, or youth culture-driven sectors.
  • Proven experience managing campaigns and projects end-to-end, from strategic development to execution.
  • Strong understanding of brand building and marketing planning at a global or regional scale.
  • Confident project manager with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Creative thinker with strong commercial and strategic acumen.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience influencing at all levels.
