Alphablocks is a growing media and educational brand, known for its award-winning shows Alphablocks and Numberblocks. With recent additions like Colourblocks and Wonderblocks, and expanding digital, merchandise, and licensing programs worldwide, we are seeking a highly organized Brand Lead to join our team.
Reporting to the Editorial Director and working alongside the Managing Editor, you will oversee global content for our preschool education brands across the "Blocks" series. Your role involves partnering with in-house teams to develop engaging brand content, establishing effective workflows, and communicating with shareholders to grow the brands across key markets and regions. Ensuring brand identity and values are maintained across all activations worldwide will be a key part of your responsibilities.

Day to Day:
- Support the Editorial Director in leading the Brand Editorial team, ensuring Alphablocks Ltd.'s commitment to educational impact, creativity, and global brand leadership. Cover for the Editorial Director when necessary.
- Collaborate with Blue-Zoo Licensing to engage global partners and align internal and external teams on brand activations.
- Assist with retail activities and opportunities, working closely with Blue-Zoo Licensing.
- Maintain proactive communication with production, broadcast, digital, and licensing teams to ensure consistent brand information.
- Build strong relationships with Blue-Zoo Licensing to support product development and brand initiatives.
- Work with the Managing Editor to create brand tools, guidelines, and activations, overseeing their execution within schedule and budget.
- Curate and maintain an internal library of brand knowledge, lore, and educational insights.
- Manage the library of assets, sourcing new materials from Blue-Zoo as needed for licensing and marketing campaigns.
- Collaborate on editorial projects, applying brand rules to ensure content balances education with fun, humor, and excitement.
- Deeply understand our brands and educational goals, assisting in training internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with brand guidelines.
- Monitor industry trends, educational developments, and competitors to inform strategy and content development.
- Support sourcing of new assets from Blue-Zoo for campaigns.
- Research global educational curricula to aid in developing new series and products.
Must Have:
- Experience working with licensed children's brands.
- Commitment to helping children learn, with strong experience in educational content development and understanding of early years education.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently and within a team.
- Organized, adaptable, and confident in managing a diverse workload.
- Excellent communicator with strong relationship-building skills.
- Proficient in Google Suite, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Bonus Points:
- Experience creating parent/teacher-facing content.
- Basic design skills, including familiarity with Adobe Suite or similar software for visuals and mock-ups.
