Citizen is seeking a Graphic Design Specialist on a maternity cover contract to join our communications team in a hybrid role based in the West Midlands. You will craft bold visual storytelling across digital and print, shaping creative direction and ensuring brand integrity.

You’ll turn complex information into clear visuals, collaborate across teams, and lead major corporate publications. Applicants should bring a strong eye for typography, colour, and detail and a passion for purpose-driven

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or equivalent.
• Strong grasp of design principles, typography, colour theory and layout.
• Ability to generate ideas and execute them.
• Attention to detail and aesthetics.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Confidence to challenge briefs and influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop bold, original creative ideas that bring campaigns and communications to life across multiple channels.
• Translate complex information into engaging, accessible visual storytelling.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the communications team and wider business to shape ideas from the ground up, including reactive project work.
• Lead major publications like annual reports, financial accounts and corporate documents.
• Stay curious by keeping up with design trends, tools and new ways of telling stories visually.
• Present final work to internal stakeholders and guide conversations to land design decisions.
• Be the brand authority by owning and evolving brand guidelines to ensure consistency.
