We have an exciting opportunity for a Brand Director position for an experienced Senior Conference Producer/Portfolio Manager who is seeking to quickly scale their own portfolio and team, diving feet first into one and supporting the accelerated growth of our fastest-growing, emerging pillars.

The successful candidate will:
  • Drive the overall profitability of P&L(s) within the business, with responsibility for generating new launches and growing established repeat events.
  • Set strategic direction at both portfolio and product levels through established assets and by identifying launch opportunities with robust validation and analysis.

While prior experience in producing events in these specific sectors is not mandatory, a background in engineering and/or life sciences is desirable. Most importantly, we value an ambitious, entrepreneurial individual with a passion for research and a desire to gain broader business operational and managerial knowledge.

We will provide comprehensive Brand Director training as part of your induction, covering core principles such as Validation and Production Lifecycle Management, Portfolio and People Management. This holistic training includes modules on Topic Generation, Validation, Product Growth Strategy, Leadership, and P&L financials.

Responsibilities include:
  • Delivering the yearly commercial results and meeting budgeted product load.
  • Executing high-quality events with strategic oversight.
  • Generating and validating seed ideas using our Hanson Wade process framework to create new product opportunities.
  • Strengthening existing portfolios or organically creating new ones to maximize market penetration in sectors such as Life Science, Construction, or HR.
  • Securing cross-functional buy-in through clear communication and adherence to internal processes.
  • Supporting departmental training and development programs.
  • Potentially managing people based on experience.

Prior experience in these fields is not required, but a background in engineering is preferred. We seek an ambitious individual passionate about research and eager to develop broad business skills. What a successful candidate needs:
  • At least 2 years of B2B conference production experience, with proven skills across various products, including launches and repeat events.
  • Strong understanding of high-quality production execution, with excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrable leadership and advanced project management skills to influence commercial results.
  • A methodical, data-driven approach to devising growth strategies for repeat events.
  • Experience in strategic portfolio development and validating new event ideas for commercial viability.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and persuasion skills.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with a keen interest in combining research with advanced business skills to own your conference product’s financials and trajectory.
  • Experience in direct line management, including hiring, training, and developing conference producers.
