Job summary

Sensory Audiology & Optical Recruitment is partnering with a long-standing family-run hearing and eye care company to recruit a Branch Manager for a busy retail optical/hearing care setting in England. You will lead a team, drive sales, ensure clinical excellence, and engage with the local community.

The role requires strong leadership, healthcare awareness, and excellent communication to deliver outstanding customer service and high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Experienced retail manager, ideally with a background in optics, audiology, or healthcare.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Customer-first mindset with excellent communication abilities.
• Basic IT skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate your team to consistently provide outstanding customer service.
• Manage branch operations, including meeting sales targets and driving business growth.
• Oversee staff training, coaching and performance management.
• Ensure every customer receives expert advice and the highest quality of care.
• Oversee stock management, compliance, and day-to-day branch efficiency.
• Support and collaborate with Optometrists and Hearing Aid Audiologists to maintain clinical excellence.
• Engage with the local community to promote the branch and build strong customer relationships.
• Maintain compliance with Company policies, health and safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Their business has grown and now has c170 stores across England and are continuing to expand. My clients aim is to provide all patients with exceptional patient hearing and optical care.

What We Are Looking For

Commercial awareness is essential, along with a proactive, hands-on approach to solving problems and developing your team. Basic I.T. skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems are also required.
