Branch Manager/ Retail Banking Manager Saffron Building Society is seeking a Branch Manager/ Retail Banking Manager to join our team on a full-time permanent basis in our Brentwood, Essex branch.

About the role

As the Branch Manager/ Retail Banking Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in enhancing our customers' experience while supporting the team in delivering exceptional service. You will be instrumental in ensuring smooth operations, upholding our standards of excellence, and leading by example in providing unparalleled customer satisfaction. This position offers a unique blend of team leadership and customer engagement, allowing you to make a real impact in the community. The working hours for this role will be Monday Friday, 9am 5pm, plus two Saturdays per month on a rotational basis.

Main Duties and responsibilities
  • Improve the customer journey by ensuring swift, efficient, and error-free management of transactions and administration, keeping customers informed of any delays or issues.
  • Proactively organise the team s telephone, webchat, and administrative work queues, guaranteeing prompt and effective service delivery.
  • Support the monitoring of webchat and telephony queues to ensure appropriate coverage and responsiveness.
  • Enhance the Society's image by treating each customer according to defined standards, maximising satisfaction by aligning customer needs with our services.
  • Deliver ongoing training and oversight to the team, ensuring competency standards are maintained while complying with regulatory, audit, and compliance standards.
About you

As a Branch Manager/ Retail Banking Manager, you will have a professional proven track-record in a supervisory or managerial role ideally within the banking, financial services sector or Post Office. You possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, allowing you to engage effectively with our members and team members alike. Your proactive and enthusiastic approach to problem-solving and decision-making, combined with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service, sets you apart.
