Job summary

Williams Trade Supplies Ltd is seeking a Branch Manager for the Cambridge branch. You will lead the team, manage daily operations and drive sales while ensuring top service standards for trade customers in plumbing, heating and renewables.

The role emphasises leadership, development of staff, and building strong customer partnerships, with a focus on meeting and exceeding branch targets and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a branch or similar team in trade wholesaling.
• Proven ability to drive sales and service excellence.
• Excellent communication and coaching skills.

• Building strong, lasting relationships with trade customers and becoming their go-to partner for plumbing, heating and renewables solutions.
• Working closely with colleagues across the wider business to deliver Best Product, Best Price, and Best Service.
• Growing the branch through new business development and maximising opportunities with existing customers.
• Taking full responsibility for the success of your branch — from sales and service to safety and standards.
• Leading, motivating and developing your branch team to deliver outstanding service and results.
• Driving sales and performance, ensuring your branch achieves (and exceeds) its targets.

Here at Williams, an independent trade-only plumbing and heating merchant, we're looking for a talented, highly motivated and inspirational leader to be our next Branch Manager of our team in Cambridge!

To achieve this, we will provide you with an individualised and comprehensive onboarding and continuous development programme, including: mentoring, leadership coaching, our suite of Williams learning programmes, the support and guidance of your Network Manager and, for the right individual, the opportunity to study for external qualifications in leadership and management.

Previous exposure working in a similar position within a plumbing and heating merchants is essential.

As a Branch Manager, you'll be:
