Job description

We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Branch Manager within our Management team to lead our UK branch in Ammanford. We are the world’s leading designer and manufacturer of seating support and comfort systems for transportation manufacturers, as well as tier one and two suppliers within the automotive industry. In 2019, we were named as one of GM’s “Supplier of the Year” recipients. Our automotive products include Seating and Lumbar support, Wireless Charging, Motors and Actuators, and Mechanical Cables. Role Overview:

The Branch Manager will oversee the daily operations of the branch, support management, and foster an environment aligned with our vision, strategy, and culture. The role involves motivating staff to achieve manufacturing excellence and produce quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leading a Safety first approach, ensuring a zero-accident culture, compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  2. Developing and managing the operational budget, controlling P&L, addressing variances, achieving revenue targets, and optimizing costs.
  3. Monitoring quality and output, taking corrective actions as needed.
  4. Optimizing branch capacity and efficiency through flexible manufacturing structures and Lean Manufacturing methods.
  5. Establishing a culture of operational excellence, supporting 5S, lean initiatives, and embodying company values.
  6. Building internal capabilities through training and career development to meet operational goals.
  7. Ensuring compliance with internal processes, certifications, and legal requirements.
  8. Fulfilling backup roles as needed.

Candidate Profile:

  • 5-7 years of operations success in manufacturing, preferably in automotive.
  • Experience managing P&L and leading teams.
  • Strong business acumen and leadership in growth/change environments.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, excellent communication skills, and adaptability.
