A new, exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced Insurance professional to join us at Ardonagh Advisory as an Insurance Broking Branch Director based in Northern Ireland.

This Branch Director role acts as the senior leader at a Branch level and will have overall accountability for all aspects of branch business. You will be responsible for the local P&L, driving growth through retention, cross-sales, and new client acquisition. As the senior local leader, you will set performance standards, act as a role model, and motivate the team to ensure they have the necessary skills and resources to grow sales.

The primary focus is providing strong leadership of the Branch, driving regional strategy, and managing the branch P&L. Oversee branch trading, review market opportunities, and maintain key internal relationships with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the team to deliver excellent customer outcomes, meeting all Consumer Duty requirements, and collaborate with Regional Directors to meet financial targets.
  • Manage risk by implementing plans that ensure compliance with risk and quality standards, monitor trends, and enable corrective actions.
  • Work with your Regional Director to identify barriers to retention or sales and promote growth opportunities.
  • Highlight operational needs to optimize the customer journey, improve business performance, and implement continuous improvements tracked by meaningful MI.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Experienced leader with a strong track record in sales growth and team leadership within insurance.
  • Extensive knowledge of insurance industry, placement, and insurer relationships.
  • Proven performance in delivering revenue growth both organically and inorganically.
  • Experience managing client relationships and business performance in a regulated environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen, understanding of market drivers, and financial management skills, including P&L management.
  • Ability to lead innovation and new ideas, with excellent communication skills.
  • Flexibility to travel to various offices and attend meetings, including overnight stays.
