Job summary

Nationwide in Chesterfield is hiring a Customer Representative to support customers in branch, on the phone and online. You’ll handle everyday transactions, answer queries and guide customers to banking services and digital tools, with an emphasis on fair, helpful service.

This 12-month fixed-term contract is full-time (35 hours per week, Mon-Sat), and you should be within a 45-minute commute of the Chesterfield branch.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is helpful
• Able to work across branch, phone and online channels
• Comfort with using digital banking tools and technology

Responsibilities

• Welcomes customers and understands their needs, offering trusted help with banking
• Handles transactions and queries accurately, prioritising security and fairness
• Guides customers through banking products and services to manage money confidently
• Works with branch colleagues to deliver excellent service, even at peak times
• Adheres to processes, identifies issues and escalates concerns to protect customers and Nationwide
• Keeps face-to-face banking meaningful and accessible on the high street
